There are some great whitewater spots on Clarks Fork Yellowstone; camping at Chief Joseph Campground is always a wonderful experience. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Molar Lake. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 30's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Molar Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights.       From a rain point of view Molar Lake is a reasonably common spot; the month with most of the rain is June; the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Lake Reno Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and Bald Knob can be observed from Molar Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. Lakes are pleasant; Basin Lake is a lake that's close to Molar Lake, and a                  delightful place to camp here at Molar Lake is Fox Creek Campground. Molar Lake is right by the Crazy Lakes Trail; Super 8 Big Timber is a good location to get some rest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range. Hiking along the Crazy Mountain Trail is pleasant fun; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Rosebud Creek - West. All the outdoors exciting things in the Absaroka Range will keep you coming back over and over. This is a splendid region for folks who like lakes.
