There are magnificent spots to look at along the North Badger-Elbow Creek Trail; if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Cut       Bank is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Muskrat Creek Trail is always a good adventure; a glorious place to camp here at Mitten Lake is Sleeping wolf Campground and RV Park. Don't leave Mitten Lake without first going for a hike along the Bowl Divide Trail, and you're probably hooked on lakes, Twin Lakes is one of those nearby. Mitten Lake is ordinarily a rather arid spot; the month of June is the wettest with most                  of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Through the summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Mitten Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
