Montana Snowbowl is a good place to do that. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Mission Reservoir. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Mission Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. You could also visit McDonald Lake while you're here at Mission Reservoir;       it's nearby, and there's splendid hiking along the Crow Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mission Reservoir; Houle Creek Trail is a great local trail, and fine hiking is available along the Crow Creek Trail. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. A perfect close by hotel is Twin Creeks Bed and Breakfast, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Mill Creek.                  Mission Reservoir gets very little precipitation; June is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. Do take a look at Mission Dam if you're here at Mission Reservoir, and Mission Reservoir is not far at all from Missoula. After a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Port Polson Inn is a great place to spend a night or two, and camping is available at Mission Reservoir Campground 2.
