Do explore Lockwood Lake next to Mill Lake, it's a delightful lake, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Saint Mary Peak Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Mill Lake with overnight lows in the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; night lows all through the winter for Mill Lake tend to be in the 10's. There is a glorious hiking trail in the       vicinity of Mill Lake called the Lee Ridge Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Townhouse Inn of Hamilton. Bear Creek Pass Campground is a wonderful local campground, and you can run the rapids of Big Sand Creek. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Bitterroot Range. Super 8 Motel - Hamilton is a great spot to get some rest, and a picturesque lake like Heinrich Lake is a glorious site to have a look at. Mill Lake                  is a beautiful lake in the Bitterroot Range. That right there is plenty of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Bitterroot Range has it all. Why not camp at Schumaker Campground while you're here at Mill Lake, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Ward Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous site near Mill Lake is Blodgett Pass, and hey, Gotta ski right? Lost Trail is a delightful location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of White Sand Creek; you don’t have to go far from Mill Lake to catch a glimpse of the water at Mill Lake Dam.
