Through the months of summer here at Middle Creek Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Middle Creek Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Middle Creek Lake you can take a hike along       the Hanging Valley National Recreation Trail, and Middle Creek Lake is a magnificent location to camp, Vigilante Campground is a magnificent location. And if that's not sufficient there's loads more entertaining things to do in the Big Belt Mountains. Camping at Middle Creek Lake is pleasant fun, Pike Gulch Campground is a pleasant local campground, and at Middle Creek Lake Dam near Middle Creek Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see. Middle                  Creek Lake is pretty waterless commonly; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; the driest month is February. Elkhorn Mountain Inn is a wonderful place to get some rest. Middle Creek Lake is one of the lakes here in the Big Belt Mountains.
