If you get bored of Memidgi Lake, you could also take a look at close by Brown Lake, and Colter Campground is a perfect local campground. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Absaroka Range. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone. If the weather is fine here at Memidgi Lake, you can go for a hike along the Republic Trail; Weeluna Lake is a nearby lake that       you could go to. The summit of Twin Peaks can be distinguished from Memidgi Lake; the Crazy Mountain Trail is a great hiking trail close by. Memidgi Lake is pretty arid frequently; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. Be careful coming to Memidgi Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. Why not camp at Woodbine Campground if you're here at Memidgi Lake, and Stillwater River is a magnificent                  whitewater spot close by. All year is a good time in the Absaroka Range if you have a thing about the outdoors. A glorious close by hotel is Super 8 Big Timber; on a great day you can take a hike along the Pilot Creek Trail.
