Medicine Owl Lake is always a pleasure to visit. The Lewis Range scenery is always beautiful. Throughout the summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Medicine Owl Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Medicine Owl Lake. Going for a hike on the Cut Bank Pass Trail is always a great adventure, and Medicine Owl Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Rising Sun Campground is a delightful local campground. An average amount of rainfall falls at Medicine Owl Lake;
most of the snow falls throughout December while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Bear Creek; there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Medicine Grizzly Trail.
