If you are in Flathead county it's always a good idea to stop by Meadow Lake. Meadow Lake is mostly a rather dried out place; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Sunday Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Kristianna Mountain Homes. Be careful coming to Meadow Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. | | so much to do here at Meadow Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Dog Creek Campground is a splendid place for that, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Ralph Thayer Memorial Trail.
Big Mountain is a delightful local ski area, and everybody loves Bootjack Meadow. Hiking along the Whitefish Divide-Smokey Range National Recreation Trail is wonderful fun, and in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on | |

Stillwater River. If you came to camp Upper Whitefish Campground is a glorious location to do that.
High temperatures at Meadow Lake through the summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Daytime highs
through the wintertime are in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Meadow Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. If you need a spot to stay Big Mtn. Info. Center is a great choice, and Meadow Lake is right by the Fort Steele Trail.
