While you're here at McKinley Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Missoula; why not camp at Jellystone RV Park if you're here at McKinley Lake. What a place this is for outdoors folks. If you came for an overnight stay St Mary's Motel is a splendid spot to camp. Lakes are good; Big Lake is a lake that's close to McKinley Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for       a hike along the BLue Mountain Nature Trail NRT will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and a nice nearby hotel is Hubbards Ponderosa Lodge. Summer at McKinley Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at McKinley Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Mosquito Peak is clearly visible from McKinley Lake, and you're                  possibly keen on lakes, Carter Lake is one of those close by. Paddling on Mill Creek is so much fun, and Holiday Inn Express Missoula-Riverside, Mt is a great place to get some rest. A day on the slopes of Marshall Mountain is just what you need; you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Blue Mountain Equestrian and Hiking Trail. The skiing at Montana Snowbowl is tremendous, and McKinley Lake Dam is a pretty site.
