This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at McIntyre Reservoir Dam close to McIntyre Reservoir is gorgeous; if you came to camp North Bootlegger Campground is a splendid location to do that. McIntyre Reservoir gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. There's glorious       hiking along the Bootlegger Trail, and Galata Ravine is also a good place to discover. There's so much to do here at McIntyre Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Galata Motel and RV Campground is a perfect place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Shelby. Through the summer highs here at McIntyre Reservoir get into the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's.
