While you're here at May Lake you can take a hike along the Driveway Trail, and there are other locations here than May Lake, for example Pear Lake. May Lake is mostly a reasonably dried up site;       the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. And that's not all you can do here in the Pioneer Mountains. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Lakes? Sure, Pear Lake is nearby, and you can stay the night at Dinner Station Campground. This lake is so wonderful. On a good day at May Lake you can take a hike along the Gold Creek Trail; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can explore Pear Lake Dam.                  Going for a hike along the Rhubarb Patch Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. There's so much to do here at May Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mono Creek Campground is a glorious place for that. This lake is located in the wonderful Pioneer Mountains. Throughout the warm months at May Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 30's.
