Mary Lake is a lake worth visiting. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Bitterroot Range. Do stop by Hazel Lake close to Mary Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Silver Dollar Inn Campground is a nice place to camp. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! Mary Lake rules! You'll come across a wonderful lake called Hub Lake near Mary Lake, and the snow is pleasant at Lookout Pass. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mary Lake; Storm Peak Trail is a good local trail; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend St. Joe River. During the summertime months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Mary Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - St. Regis is a pleasant choice, and Conrad Crossing Campground is a brilliant local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a nice nearby course is Trestle Creek
Golf Course, and at Mary Lake you can distinguish Ward Peak. This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range. Mary Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rain; January is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest of the months is July.

1935. The local ski pioneers chose Lookout Pass because of the abundant snowfall and excellent snow quality which they could access by jumping on the Northern Pacific railcars as they proceeded east from the mining towns of Wallace and Mullan, Idaho.
