Montana has many beautiful lakes and Martin Lakes is one of them. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Fort Steele Trail, and the top of Dog Mountain is easily seen from Martin Lakes. A glorious site to camp here at Martin Lakes is Dog Creek Campground, and after a long day outdoors Kristianna Mountain Homes is a great site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Get soaked paddling on Stillwater River, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Ralph Thayer Memorial Trail. Martin Lakes is a location
that is rather dried out usually; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. Throughout the warm days of summer at Martin Lakes highs are regularly in the 80's. Summer night lows
plunge down to the 40's. For the period of the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Martin Lakes plunge into the 10's.
