It's always fun to stop by Martin Lake. After a long day outdoors Cary Inn is a glorious spot to spend a night or two; Clarks Fork Yellowstone River is a tremendous whitewater spot nearby. Martin Lake is located in the Absaroka Range. The yearly precipitation here at Martin Lake is about average; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and October on the other hand is the driest.

| | Range. Camping at Martin Lake is great fun, Beartooth Lake Campground is a great local campground; dry warm beds await you at Big Moose Resort. Take a hike on the Upper Granite Loop Trail; a good place for whitewater paddling is Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Granite Loop Trail is splendid fun, and Lake Creek Campground is a great campground here.

brings highs in the 70's to Martin Lake. For the period of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 30's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and night lows at Martin Lake during the winter typically dip into the 0's.
