While you're here at Marsh Lake you can take a hike along the North Crandall Trail, and a perfect site to camp here at Marsh Lake is Chief Joseph Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are great; Swamp Lake is a lake that's near Marsh Lake, and Clarks Fork Yellowstone is a pleasant whitewater spot close by. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Big Timber is a perfect spot to spend a night       or two, and why not a little side visit to Broadwater River. You completely should like Marsh Lake. Have a great hiking adventure along the Republic Trail, and the peak of Middle Mountain can be observed from Marsh Lake. Camping is available at Colter Campground, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rosebud Creek - West. The amount of rain that falls at Marsh Lake is close to the national average;                  most of the rain falls through June while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High temperatures at Marsh Lake all through the summer months are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 30's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Marsh Lake. This lake is so wonderful. This place, the Absaroka Range, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Take a hike on the Pilot Creek Trail, and obviously, this is a pleasant vicinity for people who like lakes, Wiedy Lake is a lake in the neighborhood.
