You'll need more than a day to explore everything Marsh Lake has to offer, you can camp at Colter Campground; of course Broadwater River flows through this vicinity. So much fun stuff to do at Marsh Lake, so little time. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clarks Fork Yellowstone, and you'll find a scenic lake called Wiedy Lake. Go for a hike on the Pilot Creek       Trail, and do stop at Swamp Lake, it's a delightful lake. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range. One of the main marks of the surroundings of Marsh Lake is Middle Mountain, and brilliant hiking is available along the North Crandall Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Marsh Lake is a wonderful site to visit for more than one day, Chief Joseph Campground is a wonderful site to camp nearby, and if you come                  at the right time of year, Rosebud Creek - West offers some delightful whitewater. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Absaroka Range is unbeatable! Don't leave Marsh Lake without first going for a hike along the Republic Trail, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel Big Timber is a great choice. Marsh Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. Summertime highs at Marsh Lake typically tend to be in the 70's while night lows are generally in the 30's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while Marsh Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's.
