This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. Through the warm months highs here at Marsh Lake get into the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 30's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 20's with temperatures at Marsh Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range. On a great day at Marsh Lake you       can take a hike along the North Crandall Trail; Marsh Lake is not the only location close by, Boulder Lakes is a close by lake. Why not camp at Colter Campground while you're here at Marsh Lake, and a lake nearby is Companion Lake. From a rainfall point of view Marsh Lake is a rather common place; the wettest month of the year is mostly June, that's the one that rains the most while October is frequently the driest month. But wait, there's more to do near                  Marsh Lake. Take a side visit to Broadwater River, and you can spot Middle Mountain from Marsh Lake. This lake is so wonderful. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Absaroka Range will keep you coming back over and over. Super 8 Motel Big Timber is a magnificent place to get some rest, and camping is available at Chief Joseph Campground. Going for a hike along the Pilot Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and Rosebud Creek - West has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
