The beauty of Marmot Lakes is reason enough to stop by. This place, Marmot Lakes, it just has so much outdoors amusing stuff. This lake is located in the wonderful Cabinet Mountains. From Marmot Lakes you get a great vista of Cataract Peak; Marmot Lakes is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Willow Creek Campground is a nice local campground.

| | have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Bear Creek Trail. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Cabinet Mountains. Vermilion River is a good whitewater spot near Marmot Lakes, and hiking along the Cataract Creek Trail is brilliant fun. A delightful site to camp here at Marmot Lakes is Thompson Falls Campground, and do take a hike on the Miller Creek Trail.
