This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Margaret Lake without first paying a visit to Ipasha Falls, and why not take a little tour to Pyramid Creek since you're here. And if that's not enough there's plenty more fun stuff to do in the Lewis Range. Going for a hike on the Granite Park Trail is always a splendid adventure,       and Margaret Lake is a fine location to visit for more than one day, Many Glacier Campground is a fine location to camp nearby. Now, you may think that's a load but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Lewis Range. Glacier National Park is one of the destinations in the neighborhood of Margaret Lake that are perfect to go to, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Flathead River - Middle Fork. At Margaret Lake all through the months                  of summer highs are in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are regularly in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Margaret Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range. If you're hooked on cool geologic marks, try Chaney Glacier, and nearby you stumble on the Flattop Mountain Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Avalanche Campground is a good local campground. From a rain point of view Margaret Lake is a quite typical location; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and the driest month of the year is April.
