Margaret Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Throughout the summer months highs here at Margaret Lake get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Margaret Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. A great place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Margaret Lake is Flathead River - Middle Fork; hiking is a popular thing to do around Margaret Lake;

| | Aeneas Creek Trail is a tremendous local trail. So much cool stuff to do in the Lewis Range, not enough time. The views at Glacier National Park will blow your mind; wonderful hiking is available along the Peterson Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Lewis Range. There are other places here than Margaret Lake, for example North Biglow Lake, and the Pioneer Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. not all you can do here at Margaret Lake. Swan River is a perfect whitewater spot right next door to Margaret Lake; dry warm beds await you at Bridge Street Cottages. An average amount of precipitation falls at Margaret Lake;
the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. There's so much to do here at Margaret Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Graves Bay Campground is a great place
for that, and why not a little side journey to Baker Creek. Margaret Lake is one of the lakes here in the Lewis Range. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Handkerchief Lake Campground is a fine place to do that, and Handkerchief Lake is a delightful lake close by.
