After a long day outdoors Beaverhead is a good place to spend a night or two, and if you get bored of Marcheta Lake you could also go to nearby Little Brother Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Gallatin River is so much fun; Chiquita Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Camping at Valley Garden Campground is always a good experience; if you need a spot to stay Arrowhead is a good choice. Marcheta Lake is pretty dehydrated ordinarily;

| | the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. Madison River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby, and during your trip here you'll meet some people from Bozeman for sure. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Big Sky; if you came to camp Red Mountain Campground is a glorious location to do that. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. | |

Alder Creek is close to Marcheta Lake and is always a joy to go to, and Moonlight Basin has perfect slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Marcheta Lake reach
the 70's. Summer night lows sink down to the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Marcheta Lake.
