Why not camp at Schumaker Campground since you're here at Lower Twin Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, White Sand Creek offers some wonderful whitewater. Lakes are glorious; Upper Twin Lake is a lake that's near Lower Twin Lake, and float down the rapids of Big Sand Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Ward Mountain       Trail, and Bear Creek Pass is also a good place to explore. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Bitterroot Range will keep you coming back over and over. Bear Creek Pass Campground is a pleasant local campground, and you're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Twin Lakes is one of those nearby. High temperatures at Lower Twin Lake during the summer months are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets                  highs in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Lower Twin Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's.
