Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Lower Stillwater Lake. Take a little trip to Dog Creek since you're here at Lower Stillwater Lake, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sunday Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Tally Lake Campground is always a glorious experience, and if you need a place to stay Big Mtn.       Info. Center is a tremendous choice. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Ralph Thayer Memorial Trail, and do set aside some time for Long Meadow if you're here at Lower Stillwater Lake. The Tally Mountain Billy Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and don't leave Lower Stillwater Lake without first going for a hike along the Fort Steele Trail. Lower Stillwater Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Dog Creek Campground                  is a pleasant local campground, and a day on the slopes of Big Mountain is just what you need. Not much rainfall falls here at Lower Stillwater Lake; through June this area sees the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Lower Stillwater Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lower Stillwater Lake.
