A visit to Lower Stillwater Lake is always a good idea. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lower Stillwater Lake; Ralph Thayer Memorial Trail is a pleasant local trail, and Long Meadow is a delightful place any time of year. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at Lower Stillwater Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Dog Creek Campground is a wonderful place to camp; drift down the rapids of Sunday Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. There's wonderful hiking along the Fort Steele Trail, and Tally Lake Campground is a wonderful local campground.

in luck; Big Mountain is near Lower Stillwater Lake; after a long day outdoors Kristianna Mountain Homes is a nice place to spend a night or two. The Tally Mountain Billy Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and obviously Dog Creek flows through this region.
