    If you are in Carbon county it's always a good idea to stop by Lower Basin Creek Lake. A day on the slopes of Red Lodge Mountain is just what you need; going for a hike on the Custer National Forest Trail is always a pleasant adventure. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more fun stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. Rock Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby, and swing by Blacktail Creek it's a fine spot to stop by. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff  
   to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Lower Basin Creek Lake. Lower Basin Creek Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Cascade Campground is a brilliant local campground, obviously you could also pop by Basin Creek Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.
This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something near Lower Basin Creek Lake? Wild Bill Lake is around here, and Yodeler Motel is a nice place to get some rest.
 
               All through the summertime highs here at Lower Basin Creek Lake get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Lower Basin Creek Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. Go for a hike on the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Red Lodge. The annual rain here at Lower Basin Creek Lake is about average; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
Just can't get enough of the Absaroka Range. Paddling on Rosebud Creek - East is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Lower Basin Creek Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Basin Campground is a great spot for that.
