    Why not stop by Lowary Lake if you're passing through these parts. This location, the Absaroka Range, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. A range like the Beartooth Mountains here at Lowary Lake is always picturesque, and if you come at the right time of year, Clarks Fork Yellowstone offers some wonderful whitewater. Camping at Lowary Lake is wonderful fun, Chief Joseph Campground is a wonderful local campground, and drift down the rapids of Rosebud Creek  
   - West in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Crazy Mountain Trail, and Beartooth Mountains is a peak you can observe from Lowary Lake.
You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Granite Glacier is something you shouldn't miss if you're here at Lowary Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Emerald Lake Campground is a nice location to camp. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lowary Lake; Crazy Lakes Trail is a great local trail;
 
               Super 8 Motel Big Timber is a splendid place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
For the duration of the summertime months, highs commonly are in the 70's at Lowary Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lowary Lake. Lowary Lake is a good place of typical rain; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest of the months is October. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Absaroka Range. Good hiking is available along the Lake Reno Trail, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not explore Avalanche Lake.
