Having a splendid time at Lost Lake is simple. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stillwater River, and there is a splendid hiking trail nearby called the Bozeman Trail. All through the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Lost Lake. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. All through the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's, and night       lows in the 10's for Lost Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Rosebud Creek - West is a nice whitewater spot in close proximity to Lost Lake, and going for a hike on the Black Butte Trail is always a great adventure. Lost Lake gets very little precipitation; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest month is February. Lost Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. Lost Lake is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Pine Grove Campground                  is a perfect site to camp nearby, and the slopes of Red Lodge Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Absaroka Range.
