Montana has many beautiful lakes and Lost Lake is one of them. Do take a look at Kreis Pond right next door to Lost Lake, it's a striking lake; nearby Dry Gulch is a great location to go. There's whitewater on Clark Fork for all you adrenaline rush seekers; there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the McCormick Creek Trail.

Not much precipitation falls here at Lost Lake; most of the rain falls all through June, and the driest month is July. Dry warm beds await you at Missoula-Days Inn, and Barrette Creek is near Lost Lake and is always a diversion to explore.
