    A visit to Lost Lake is always a good idea. Lost Lake gets a normal amount of rain; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This is a magnificent region for folks who like lakes. Broadwater Lake is a lake close by, and Silver Run Plateau is a great place to check out. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful.
Just can't get enough of the Absaroka Range. If the weather is wonderful here at Lost Lake, you can
 
   go for a hike along the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail. There's so much to do here at Lost Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Buena Vista Campground is a magnificent spot for that. Be careful coming to Lost Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. You can run the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River near Lost Lake, and you can never get enough of the brilliant skiing at Red Lodge Mountain. The Beauty Lake Trail is a good hiking  
               trail in the neighborhood of Lost Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Cary Inn is a great choice.
High temperatures at Lost Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are frequently in the 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Lost Lake descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. And that's not everything you can do here in the Absaroka Range. On a delightful day at Lost Lake you can take a hike along the Beartooth Highlakes Trail, and if you came to camp Bots Sots Campground is a tremendous place to do that.
This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Rosebud Creek - East for all you adrenaline people, and Super 8 Motel - Red Lodge is a fine spot to get some rest.
