This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Kootenai River Inn Casino & Spa, and pretty scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Turner Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Yaak River, and if the weather is       nice, you can go for a hike along the Crowell Trail. The amount of precipitation that falls at Loon Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest of the months is July. The summit of Little Tom Mountain can be observed from Loon Lake, and since you're here, you could also stop at lovely La Foe Lake. If you came to camp Kootenai River Camp Ground is a brilliant spot to do that, and there are some great                  whitewater spots on Kootenai River. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Loon Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Loon Lake. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Loon Lake. The Grouse Lake Trail is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Loon Lake, and after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Libby is a tremendous place to spend a night or two.
