These mountains rock, just look at all the fun things to do in the Absaroka Range. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Yellowstone River. Around Lonesome Pond you don’t get a lot of rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. Camping is available at Snowbank Campground; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Yellowstone North. Lonesome Pond is located       in the Absaroka Range. At Lonesome Pond through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are usually in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lonesome Pond. Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Lonesome Pond. There are great locations to look at along the Jardine-Hellroaring Trail; if you came for                  an overnight stay Eagle Creek Campground is a great place to camp. Nearby lakes? Sure, Fish Lake is close to Lonesome Pond, and Mulherin Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Gardiner is a fine choice, and you can go for a hike on the Ash Mountain Trail. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Absaroka Range.
