    Do stop by Lonesome Lake while you're in this part of Montana. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. Having a glorious time at Lonesome Lake is trouble-free. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Red Lodge Mountain; dry warm beds await you at Big Moose Resort. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. From Lonesome Lake you obtain a delightful panorama of Lonesome Mountain.
The Beauty Lake Trail is a fine hiking trail
 
   in close proximity to Lonesome Lake; you're probably addicted to lakes, Abandoned Lake is one of those nearby. Summertime highs at Lonesome Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 30's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Lonesome Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. Cary Inn is a splendid place to get some rest, and Clarks Fork Yellowstone River is a delightful whitewater  
               spot nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is brilliant here at Lonesome Lake, you can go for a hike along the Beartooth Highlakes Trail, and why not camp at Island Lake Campground if you're here at Lonesome Lake. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Lonesome Lake; during the month of June you get the most rain around here, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Having a delightful time in the Absaroka Range is simple. There is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Lonesome Lake called the Clay Butte Trail, and camping is available at Beartooth Lake Campground.
