This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range. Summer at Lonely Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Lonely Lakes through the wintertime generally dip into the 0's. There is a perfect hiking trail near Lonely Lakes called the Dawson Pass Trail; a nice place       for whitewater paddling is Flathead River - Middle Fork. And that's not all there is to do here in the Lewis Range. A great location to camp here at Lonely Lakes is Two Medicine Campground, and one of the overriding features of the surroundings of Lonely Lakes is Basin Mountain. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff close to Lonely Lakes. Glacier National Park is a nice local destination here at Lonely Lakes. It is very arid here at Lonely Lakes                  typically; during June this area sees the most rain while February is regularly the driest month. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bear Creek, and on a good day you can take a hike along the South Shore Trail. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Lonely Lakes you can take a hike along the Dry Fork Trail, and why not camp at Cut Bank Campground if you're here at Lonely Lakes.   Bridge Street Cottages, Bigfork 45 miles away Bridge Street Cottages, completed in 2004, are located, on the Swan River where it flows into Bigfork Bay.
