    Lone Lake is a lake worth visiting. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Lone Lake; through June this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is October. If you come at the right time of year, Clarks Fork Yellowstone offers some pleasant whitewater, and some nearby water includes Fisher Creek.
Lone Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Lone Lake. All through the moonlight hours
 
   it's commonly in the 30's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lone Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop by Dick Lake near Lone Lake, it's a lovely lake, and Sheep Mountain is a peak you can catch a sight of from Lone Lake.
All year is a fine time in the Absaroka Range if you adore the outdoors. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Big Timber is a perfect place to spend a night or two, and you
 
               can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the North Crandall Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Absaroka Range. If you came for an overnight stay Colter Campground is a tremendous place to camp; do take a hike on the Pilot Creek Trail. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Colter Pass is a brilliant place to pop by in the neighborhood of Lone Lake; a picturesque lake like Companion Lake is a brilliant spot to pop by.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Stillwater River, and Soda Butte Campground is a nice local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Alp Rock is an attention-grabbing thing to make out since you're here at Lone Lake; Lone Lake is right by the Republic Trail.
