    Many people like to go to Lone Elk Lake. A splendid place to camp here at Lone Elk Lake is Chief Joseph Campground, and at Lone Elk Lake you can see Oxide Mountain. For the period of the days of summer here at Lone Elk Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 30's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lone Elk Lake. Why not camp at Colter Campground  
   if you're here at Lone Elk Lake; the Crazy Lakes Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby.
From a precipitation point of view Lone Elk Lake is a pretty common place; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. If only every location had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great globe it would be. If you need a place to stay Antlers Lodge is a good choice; there are other places here than Lone
 
               Elk Lake, for example Finger Lake. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Absaroka Range. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Rosebud Creek - West.
So many enjoyable things in the Absaroka Range, just inspiring. Near Lone Elk Lake you locate the Pilot Creek Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and after a long day outdoors Big Moose Resort is a great spot to spend a night or two. This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Crazy Mountain Trail is always a delightful adventure, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone.
