A perfect site for whitewater paddling right next door to Lone Acre Lake is Madison River, and Riverside Motel is a good location to get some rest. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Moonlight Basin if you're here. If you came to camp Red Mountain Campground is a great place to do that; what would winter be without some skiing at Big Sky. Lone       Acre Lake is ordinarily a pretty dehydrated site; May is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 70's at Lone Acre Lake, and the night is quite chillier of course, generally in the 40's. During the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lone Acre Lake are in the 10's.
