     The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Moonlight Basin, and why not camp at Red Mountain Campground since you're here at Lone Acre Lake. Summer at Lone Acre Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's; night lows at Lone Acre Lake during the winter mostly descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Big Sky is a very popular  
   ski area in the vicinity, and lakes are such calm spots, why not explore Chiquita Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things close to Lone Acre Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Norris-bear Trap Hot Springs is a nice site to camp.
Madison River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if you need a site to stay Beaverhead is a good choice. Lone Acre Lake is pretty arid regularly; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest
 
               month of the year is February. There are other spots here than Lone Acre Lake, for example Cherry Lake, and Arrowhead is a wonderful site to get some rest.

It starts out near a small pond called Moose Lake, follows a path up some dense forest for a couple of miles, then opens up into these huge rolling meadows surrounded by Cedar Mountain, Pioneer Mountain, and Lone Mountain with a great view of Sphinx Mountain in the distance....
