During the warmest time of the year, highs regularly are in the 80's at Lomna Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Lomna Lake plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Wapiti Creek Trail       is nice fun, and if you came for an overnight stay Beaver Creek Campground 2 is a perfect spot to camp. While you're here at Lomna Lake you can take a hike along the Little Wapiti Creek Trail, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort West Yellowstone Conference is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. What would winter be without some skiing at Moonlight Basin, and you can run the rapids of Madison River. Nearby lakes? Here at Lomna Lake you can see Pika Point, and camping is available at Cabin Creek Campground. Lomna Lake gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is generally June, that's the one that rains the most, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Big Sky since you're here, and places like Carrot Basin are perfect to visit.
