Olson Peak is a peak you can see from Lockwood Lake, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Marshall Mountain while you're here. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area close to Lockwood Lake has to offer. If the weather is splendid here at Lockwood Lake, you can go for a hike along the Iris Point Trail, and if you're dropping by       from Missoula, you won't be the only one. Lockwood Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Blue Slide Campground is a magnificent local campground, and you can never get enough of the nice skiing at Montana Snowbowl. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Lockwood Lake. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lockwood Lake.                  On a good day at Lockwood Lake you can take a hike along the Solomon Ridge Trail, and Holiday Inn Express Missoula-Riverside, Mt is a good location to get some rest. At Lockwood Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Lockwood Lake, for example Hidden Lake, and if you need a location to stay Hubbards Ponderosa Lodge is a good choice. There is a delightful hiking trail in the vicinity of Lockwood Lake called the Butte Cabin Ridge Trail. A great location to camp here at Lockwood Lake is Turah Store and Campground, and close by you find brilliant places like Heyers Gulch.
