At Little Sister Lake you always meet someone from Bozeman, and Red Mountain Campground is a tremendous local campground. If you come at the right time of year, Gallatin River offers some magnificent whitewater, and a nice close by hotel is Beaverhead. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Little Sister Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
