Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range. If you came for an overnight stay Emerald Lake Campground is a great site to camp, and Little Scat Lake is not the only spot close by, Scat Lake is a close by lake. Falls Creek is a perfect local stream, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Copeland Lake Trail. Little Scat Lake is a good spot of normal rain; of all the months in a year       June is the one with the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You can make out Snowbank Mountain from Little Scat Lake; Charlie Falls is always fun to check out. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Absaroka Range. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Rosebud Creek - West, and why not camp at East Rosebud Campground while you're here at Little Scat Lake. On a magnificent day at Little Scat Lake you can                  take a hike along the Lake Reno Trail, and paddling on Rosebud Creek - East is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the fine skiing at Red Lodge Mountain. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Little Scat Lake. Going for a hike along the Crazy Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you've had enough of Little Scat Lake, Falls Creek Lake is nearby. For the duration of the long summer days at Little Scat Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's; the night is slightly cooler of course, ordinarily in the 30's.
