Camping is available at Rock Creek Campground; going for a hike on the Wapiti Creek Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Lakes? Sure, Dead Lakes is nearby; the Cutoff Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Moonlight Basin are so inviting nobody can resist, and if you desire a little side trip, try Expedition Pass. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn WEST YELLOWSTONE. | | Lakes. If you need a location to stay Sawtelle Mountain Resort is a delightful choice, and a good panorama of scenic Dutchman Peak is available. Throughout the summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Little Pine Lakes. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Madison River, and if you came for an overnight stay Beaver Creek Campground 1 is a brilliant location to camp. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Big Sky; sites like Hilgard Basin
are fine to go to. Near Little Pine Lakes you come across the Lightning Creek Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and there are other spots here than Little Pine Lakes, for example Lake Ha Hand. Not much rainfall falls here at Little Pine Lakes; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January.
