This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Schumaker Campground while you're here at Little Grizzly Lake, and good hiking is available along the North Route Of Old Nez Perce Trail. paddling is magnificent on White Sand Creek. Little Grizzly Lake is located in the Bitterroot Range. A nice site to camp here at Little Grizzly Lake is Bear Creek Pass Campground, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered
with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Sand Creek. This lake is so wonderful. At Little Grizzly Lake throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's.
For the period of the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Little Grizzly Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Bitterroot Range. Nearby lakes? Sure,

Tag Alder Lake
 | 19 miles away I venture up to Tag Alder every year. It is getting more and more difficult to get up there because of the new growth of trees from the fires of 2000. Once there it is beautiful lake. Another half hour hike up and you will be at the summit of the mountain. There is a nice camp area on North shore. Fishing is best in late spring using small spinners or powerbait.... |
