An average amount of rain falls at Little Grizzly Lake; January is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Schumaker Campground while you're here at Little Grizzly Lake, and good hiking is available along the North Route Of Old Nez Perce Trail. A nice site to camp here at Little Grizzly Lake is Bear Creek Pass Campground, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Sand Creek. This lake is so wonderful. At Little Grizzly Lake throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Little Grizzly Lake.
