This lake is so wonderful. Lolo-Days Inn Missoula South/Blue Mountain is a fine location to get some rest; pleasant hiking is available along the Carlton Lake Trail. Carlton Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Little Carlton Lake; Sweeney Ridge Trail is a glorious local trail. Not much rain falls here at Little Carlton Lake; most of the rain falls throughout       May, and October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining things the Bitterroot Range has to offer. From Little Carlton Lake you get a magnificent vista of Sweeney Peak; Fort Fizzle Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. Just can't get enough of Little Carlton Lake. While you're here at Little Carlton Lake, you could also go to stunning McClain Lake, and dry warm beds                  await you at Super 8 Motel - Missoula/Brooks Street. The Bitterroot Range scenery is always beautiful. Summertime at Little Carlton Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's; night lows at Little Carlton Lake during the winter ordinarily sink into the 10's. If you come at the right time of year, Kootenai Creek offers some tremendous whitewater, and you can stay the night at Square Dance Center and Campground. Having a great time in the Bitterroot Range is simple.
