     On a gorgeous day you get a vista of Edwards Mountain from Lincoln Lake, and hiking along the Gunsight Pass Trail is tremendous fun. This lake is one of the great places here in the Lewis Range. There's whitewater on Flathead River - Middle Fork for all you adrenaline people.
Lincoln Lake gets a common amount of annual rain; December is the month that gets the most snow while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. So many amusing things
 
   to do here at Lincoln Lake, too glorious to be true. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Snyder Lake Trail; Lincoln Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Avalanche Campground is a glorious local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Lincoln Lake, checking out Sperry Glacier is a must, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Glacier Park/Columbia Falls is a great place to spend a night or two.
Now, you may assume
 
               that's a lot but there's even more fun things to do here in the Lewis Range. While you're here at Lincoln Lake you can take a hike along the Jackson Glacier Trail, and a tour to Glacier National Park is worthwhile. Through the summer months, highs usually are in the 70's at Lincoln Lake. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Lincoln Lake. And if that's not enough there's heaps more amusing things to do in the Lewis Range. Not far from Lincoln Lake, you'll discover Feather Woman Lake which is a beautiful lake; a perfect location to take a look at is Comeau Pass.
This lake is so wonderful. Akaiyan Falls is an inspiring site to stop by while you're here, and camping at Sprague Creek Campground is always a wonderful experience. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Lake Ellen Wilson, and Glacier Basin is a pretty spot any time of year.

Fabulously beautiful area, dense grizzly population and zero people.  Not too hard to get to crossing Flattop on bits of an obsolete trail from Fifty Mountain, then skirt along the open hills sides near Trapper Peak.  One scary steep hardpan ravine must be crossed where a slip would send you plunging 1000 feet down to Lake Nahsukin.  An axe would be helpful, otherwise just run real fast so your momentum will carry you to good footing on the far side....
