It's always fun to stop by Lightning Lake. If you're here at Lightning Lake, you could have a look at Alp Creek, needless to say you could also pop by Park Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Dude Lake; Big Sky has splendid slopes and a friendly staff. | | the warm months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; overnight lows at Lightning Lake during the winter regularly fall into the 10's. But wait, there's more to do near Lightning Lake. right time of year, Madison River offers some good whitewater. Hit the slopes at Moonlight Basin around here. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort West Yellowstone Conference is a good choice. There's so
much to do here at Lightning Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Creek Campground 2 is a magnificent site for that. Drift down the rapids of Madison River in a kayak; don't leave Lightning Lake without first going
for a hike along the Cutoff Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant nearby hotel is Park Condos, and from Lightning Lake you acquire a great view of Apex Point.
