     The beauty of Lightning Lake attracts many people from all around. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in close proximity to Lightning Lake. Paddling on Madison River is so much fun; if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort West Yellowstone Conference is a glorious choice. This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Apex Point can be distinguished from Lightning Lake; there's tremendous hiking along the Cutoff Trail. At Lightning Lake  
   you don’t see much rainfall; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while January is generally the driest month.
Summertime at Lightning Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lightning Lake are in the 10's. The Wapiti Creek Trail offers hiking at its best; beautiful
 
               scenery and pleasant skiing is what you obtain at Moonlight Basin. Beaver Creek Campground 2 is a great local campground, and hey, Gotta ski right? Big Sky is a magnificent location to do that.
This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Madison River. Getting to Alp Creek from Lightning Lake is simple; Park Condos is a glorious place to get some rest. Why not camp at Cabin Creek Campground while you're here at Lightning Lake, and don't leave Lightning Lake without first going for a hike along the Lightning Creek Trail.
