Good hiking is available along the Cutoff Trail, and at Lightning Lake you can make out Apex Point. High temperatures at Lightning Lake all through the months of summer are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows during the winter for Lightning Lake       tend to be in the 10's. Why not camp at Cabin Creek Campground while you're here at Lightning Lake. So many exciting things close to Lightning Lake, truly mind-boggling. Some close by water includes Alp Creek; a wonderful nearby hotel is Park Condos. This lake is so wonderful. You'll find a lovely lake called Dude Lake near Lightning Lake, and you can run the rapids of Madison River. Do visit Park Lake in the neighborhood of Lightning Lake, it's a striking                  lake, and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn WEST YELLOWSTONE is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Creek Campground 2 is a good local campground; Big Sky is a brilliant local ski area. The slopes of Moonlight Basin are so inviting noone can resist, and there's fine hiking along the Wapiti Creek Trail.
