It is very arid here at Lavold Reservoir regularly; during the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. A quick spree to Dry Creek near Lavold Reservoir is a magnificent idea; if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Columbus is a perfect choice. Tangen Draw is a good place to take a look at close by, and Lavold Reservoir       is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Big Timber Koa Kampground is a nice place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch is a great campground nearby; dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel Big Timber. Be careful coming to Lavold Reservoir, you might not ever want to return back home again. There is a nice hiking trail in the neighborhood of Lavold Reservoir called the Bozeman Trail; Lavold Dam is a site                  that is in close proximity to Lavold Reservoir. The Black Butte Trail is a great hiking trail next to Lavold Reservoir; paddling on Boulder River is so much fun. Throughout the summer months here at Lavold Reservoir, high temperatures generally get into the 70's, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, mostly in the 40's.
