This lake is so wonderful. Dry Creek flows through this area, and after a long day outdoors Big Timber Budget Host is a great spot to spend a night or two. There is a great hiking trail close to Lavold Reservoir called the Bozeman Trail, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Grand Hotel & Restaurant. Camping at Big Timber Koa Kampground is always a magnificent experience, and Tangen Draw is a glorious place to spend       some time. If you like the outdoors, you'll like Lavold Reservoir. Lavold Reservoir is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch is a delightful local campground; on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Black Butte Trail. Lavold Reservoir is regularly a quite dehydrated location; throughout the month of June you get the most rain around here while February is usually the driest month. You can run the                  rapids of Boulder River in close proximity to Lavold Reservoir; an exciting thing to explore near Lavold Reservoir is Lavold Dam.
