Lappi Lake is always a pleasure to visit. At Lappi Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Lappi Lake are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent place for whitewater paddling next to Lappi Lake is White Sand Creek, and if you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Hamilton is a great choice. But wait, there's

| | more entertaining things to do in the Bitterroot Range. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lappi Lake; Carlton Lake Trail is a wonderful local trail.
Stay the night at Larry Creek Campground, and you can run the rapids of Kootenai Creek. At Lappi Lake you don’t see much rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Having a magnificent time in the Bitterroot Range is easy. | |

Charles Waters Memorial Campground is a tremendous campground nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Saint Mary Peak Trail.
