Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Lake Koocanusa. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Lake Koocanusa dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lake Koocanusa. Lake Koocanusa is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Yarnell Island Campground is a fine local       campground, and there are other places here than Lake Koocanusa, for example Lost Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Alexander Creek is a stream that you may run into during your stay. Do visit Libby Dam while you're here at Lake Koocanusa, and Rodeway Inn Libby is a fine spot to get some rest. Don’t forget to pop by Dunn Creek Flats while you're here at Lake Koocanusa; going for a hike on the Divide Trail is always a glorious adventure. Kootenai Narrows is                  near Lake Koocanusa and is a nice place, and close by you locate the Calx Mountain Trail which is a good hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Lake Koocanusa that you need to camp here for a while, Hook-u-up RV Park is a fine site for that, and the Fisher Mountain Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Head up to Turner Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and Blue Lake is a pleasant lake nearby.
