     The beauty of Lake Helena attracts many people from all around. Through the summertime months at Lake Helena highs are mostly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lake Helena. Lake Helena is not far at all from Helena, and hiking along the 1906 Trail is delightful fun. Be careful coming to Lake Helena, you might not ever  
   wanna go home again. Lakes? Sure, Hauser Lake is close at hand, and going for a hike along the Backside Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
If you need a place to stay Red Lion Colonial Hotel is a great choice, and if you want to hit the beach, Black Sandy Beach is in close proximity. Great Divide is a very popular ski area around here; Lake Helena is a brilliant site to visit for more than one day, Lakeside Resort and Marina is
 
               a brilliant site to camp nearby. If the weather is great here at Lake Helena, you can go for a hike along the Prospect Shafts Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake Helena has to offer, you can camp at Coulter Campground.
This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Helena Valley Reservoir; dry warm beds await you at Elkhorn Mountain Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Helena gets very little rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; February meanwhile is the driest month.
