Barn Creek is a great local stream, and a magnificent close by hotel is Main Street Lodging. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Ennis is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Norris-bear Trap Hot Springs is a nice local campground, and the slopes of Big       Sky are so inviting noone can resist. High temperatures at Lake Ennis through the summertime months are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are frequently in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Lake Ennis. A tremendous site for whitewater paddling next to Lake Ennis is Madison River, and if you would like a little side trip, try Bear Trap Canyon. Lake Ennis is a location that is quite dehydrated                  generally; most of the rain falls during May while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
