At Kreis Pond during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Kreis Pond dip into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. You're almost certainly interested in lakes, Spring Creek Reservoir is one of those close by, and get your heart       pumping on the great whitewater of Mill Creek. Big Pine Campground is a fine local campground; delightful hiking is available along the McCormick Creek Trail. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. There's whitewater on Clark Fork for all you thrill seekers, and a glorious nearby hotel is Missoula-Days Inn. Lakes are good; Lost Lake is a lake that's near Kreis Pond, and Cromwell Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking                  out. Kreis Pond is right next door to Spring Creek Dam which is a striking location absolutely worth stopping at; if you came for an overnight stay River Edge Campground Casino is a great place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Squaw Peak Trail, and going for a hike on the Kennedy Creek Trail is always a perfect adventure.
