Yep, outdoors fun things to do are truly plentiful here at Kootenai Lakes. If you came to camp Avalanche Campground is a great place to do that; hiking is a popular thing to do around Kootenai Lakes; Waterton Valley Trail is a fine local trail. So many cool things in the Lewis Range, just amazing. Rainbow Falls is an inspiring place to visit during your stay, and if you have time to spare, Glacier National Park is a national       park worth visiting. Not much rain falls here at Kootenai Lakes; the month with most of the snow is December, and April meanwhile is the driest month. Kootenai Lakes is located in the Lewis Range. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not check out Bench Lake right next door to Kootenai Lakes, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Flathead River - Middle Fork. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations                  here than Kootenai Lakes, for example Lake Janet, and of course Camp Creek flows through this region. Through the months of summer at Kootenai Lakes temperatures are mostly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Kootenai Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Kootenai Lakes is right by the North Boundary Trail, and you might also want to pay a visit to Waterton Valley if you're here at Kootenai Lakes. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Lewis Range.
