This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Red Lodge Mountain, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Kookoo Lake; Beartooth Highlakes Trail is a brilliant local trail. An average amount of precipitation falls at Kookoo Lake; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. The Upper Granite Loop Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can catch a sight of Elk Mountain from

If you come at the right time of year, Rosebud Creek - East offers some pleasant whitewater; lakes are such calm locations, why not explore Ship Lake. Sundance Pass is a great site to take a look at nearby; a tremendous place to camp here at Kookoo Lake is Jimmy Joe Campground. This lake is so wonderful. or two. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range. There are some good whitewater spots on Rosebud Creek - West; Kookoo Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than
a day at, East Rosebud Campground is a wonderful local campground. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. Triangle Lake is a great lake in the neighborhood of Kookoo Lake; Kookoo Lake is right by the Beauty
Lake Trail. High temperatures at Kookoo Lake all through the summer are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 30's. For the duration of the winter highs are generally in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Kookoo Lake dip into the 0's.
